The submerged AGV is a low-profile automatic guided vehicle. It can move materials by lurking at the bottom of material carts or shelves and using traction or lifting mechanisms. It features high flexibility and small space occupation, and is widely used in flexible transportation scenarios in industries such as electronics, automobiles, and logistics. The vehicle body is low in height, allowing it to move under the assembly line or at the bottom of the shelves, saving ground space. There is no need to modify the vehicle, and it can rotate in place, adapting to frequent adjustments in the production line layout.
Latent Automated Guided Vehicle, commonly referred to as a Latent AGV, represents an advanced solution in warehouse automation. Designed to operate beneath storage racks, shelves or loads, it enables efficient point to point material transport without occupying valuable floor space. This configuration is particularly suitable for high density warehousing environments where maximising storage utilisation and streamlining logistics processes are priorities.

Latent Automated Guided Vehicle
The Latent Automated Guided Vehicle, commonly referred to as a Latent AGV, represents an advanced solution in warehouse automation. Designed to operate beneath storage racks, shelves or loads, it enables efficient point to point material transport without occupying valuable floor space. This configuration is particularly suitable for high density warehousing environments where maximising storage utilisation and streamlining logistics processes are priorities.
Navigation and Positioning
The vehicle employs a hybrid navigation approach that ensures both flexibility and high precision in dynamic warehouse settings.
- Navigation method: Laser SLAM plus QR code
- Positioning accuracy: plus or minus 10 millimetres and plus or minus 1 degree
This combination allows reliable operation even in areas with potential interference, providing consistent repeatability for automated workflows and reducing the risk of misalignment during load transfers.
Load Bearing Capacity and Docking
With substantial load handling capabilities, the Latent AGV supports heavy duty applications typical in manufacturing and distribution centres.
- Maximum load bearing: 2000 kilograms
- Minimum docking height: 300 millimetres
These specifications make it ideal for lifting and transporting heavy pallets or containers directly from low clearance positions, reducing the need for additional lifting equipment and optimising vertical storage density in space constrained facilities.
Operational Performance
Optimised for productivity, the AGV delivers efficient movement throughout the facility.
- Maximum walking speed: 1.5 metres per second
This speed balances swift transit times with safe navigation in busy warehouse aisles, supporting higher throughput without compromising stability or safety during peak operational periods.
Power System and Durability
Built for continuous operation with minimal downtime, the power system offers exceptional longevity.
- Battery life: greater than 1500 charge and discharge cycles
Extended battery endurance supports multi shift operations, lowering overall operational costs and enhancing return on investment while maintaining consistent performance across extended duty cycles.
Safety Features
Safety remains paramount in automated material handling systems to protect personnel, inventory and infrastructure.
- Safety protection: Laser obstacle avoidance and safe edge contact
These mechanisms enable proactive detection of obstructions and immediate response upon contact, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards and smooth integration into human collaborative environments where workers and vehicles share the same workspace.
Control System
The Latent AGV utilises a robust industrial control architecture.
- Control mode: programmable logic controller control
PLC based control provides reliable, real time decision making and seamless interfacing with warehouse management systems for coordinated fleet operations, allowing customisation to specific site requirements and future scalability as warehouse demands evolve.
